Step outside and look around…
Now, if you still have not seen what I want you to look for, you can ‘take your vehicle out on the road’ and search within a slightly wider radius…
Then you will see.
Any “Yoga center.”
There was once a time when Yoga was a “secret art” reserved for mysterious Yogis living in seclusion deep in the forest, with many extraordinary “superpowers.” Few people truly understood Yoga. Even fewer practiced Yoga worldwide.
Yet now it is ‘Yoga for everyone, Yoga in every home.’ You can easily find a Yoga center, course, or training program integrated into gyms, fitness and dance centers, and so on. Yoga has become widespread and accessible to many. It is a form of training for body and soul, like jogging or exercising every day. Because Yoga has ‘evolved’ into a kind of ‘aerobics’ in the ‘Vinyasa flow’ style. An estimated 2 billion people now practice this modern form, like many other kinds of stretching and exercise. It has become a kind of rhythmic exercise, and hundreds of studies have demonstrated the treatment-supporting benefits of these Asanas (common Yoga poses).
So pay attention to the key word “meditation.”
A few years ago, many people probably still thought of meditation as something mysterious, profound, abstruse, difficult to understand, and difficult to practice.
When this book was written, meditation had become a little more common, but there were still many doubtful looks (about its effects) or surprised looks (at seeing someone meditate), along with bewilderment (“Huh? What's that?”), hesitation (“Would that be eccentric? No, I don't dare!”) and even “foolishness” (many misguided prejudices about meditation — “He'll meditate and then leave his wife, just watch!”). In short
again, meditation has become more widespread, but it is still far from commonplace. It remains a minority practice—or, more precisely, a very small minority practice.
But this is gradually changing!
Science has found much positive evidence about meditation, and many meditation movements are thriving worldwide. The West no longer merely ‘follows’ the East on such somewhat ‘mysterious’ subjects, but even leads in some aspects of this field.
In a few years, 10 years, or a little further off—but only a little—meditation will be like Yoga. It will cease to be “mysterious” and become “common knowledge” in everyday life, something anyone can practice and anyone may need. More meditation centers will appear. Of course, there will also be more and more “fake meditation masters”: light and darkness always go together to bring the lessons needed for our collective evolution. Overall, however, meditation will “spread everywhere,” finding its way into every corner of life and becoming as ordinary as the streets around us, like many other forms of exercise and sport, and like Yoga…
Many see meditation as ‘exercise for the mind’ or ‘sport for the soul.’ Some consider it a wonderful method of ‘therapy and healing.’ More ‘seriously,’ some see it as a sacred way to connect with the soul and the Great Whole within. Others simply see it as necessary relaxation, no different from a foot massage, neck-and-shoulder massage, or full-body spa. Ordinary, found on every street.
In this new era of Light, many people will receive refreshing vibrational magnetic fields from “sources of spiritual practice.” They will transform from within and begin taking an interest in practice and… meditation, of course. Then they sit and meditate. Once they have gone deep enough, they themselves become “sources” spreading this pure vibrational frequency to others, quietly continuing to inspire more people to… sit down and meditate.
Meditation will become a common, widely used language. You focused hard on learning written language—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—to understand and communicate with everyone, live, learn, work, and develop. You also worked hard to learn English to succeed further in your career and communicate with foreigners. You poured sweat and tears into learning the “language” of IT, coding, programming, and technology… wanting to join the next progressive wave: Technology, Internet, 4.0, AI… Everything you did was to succeed as a Global Citizen.
So have you mastered the ‘language’ of meditation to be successful and happy, peaceful and steady, attuned to the times and useful, as a Citizen of the Universe?
