As an animation fan, I was disappointed by Brave and Pixar after Steve Jobs…
But Inside Out is truly outstanding. So good that I will let you see and experience it for yourselves, without recounting the story, its artistry, or the simple yet deeply resonant philosophies that stay with you afterward. I want to talk about something else.
If Steve Jobs had known Pixar would never make money from hardware, he would never have invested in it. If Pixar had never existed, or its two co-founders had never been driven and inspired by someone as demanding as Steve Jobs, we might never have seen ‘artistic wonders’ such as Toy Story, Up, Wall E, Cars, Monster Inc., and Finding Nemo…
Mistakes are part of life; it turns out they make life more complete. We are not perfect, but that is the ‘perfection’ of ‘imperfection.’ Shortcomings lead to unexpected wonders in our lives. Accept yourself while continually improving; accept life as it is without stopping your dreams. Life is a combination of many contradictions, as well as joy and sorrow, all of which have value in this universe. Everything fits, and everything ought to happen…
This is a film that anyone working in human development should watch, that those folks who bring up NLP every time they open their mouths should watch, as should people studying economics or engineering, their children… In short, everyone should watch it.
Because “I do not make animated films only for children; I make them for the child inside every one of us adults” – Walt Disney.
