And meditation is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer this world

On this trip, Dad received a special invitation from an Indian monk—a highly skilled teacher in the sacred land of Bodh Gaya (where the Buddha attained unsurpassed, complete, perfect enlightenment), and also a friend and brother—who invited Dad here to guide local people in meditation.

Even by the time I reached India, I still had not confirmed this. I had gone to India for another purpose… However, once there, I told the monk that I could first guide a few people, and if it went well we could consider what came next… So the monk enthusiastically invited a few people to learn meditation. They were children — how wonderful, how wonderful…

So right in front of the Mahabodhi Temple, Dad guided Indian children in meditation. Just a few steps away was the Bodhi Tree, where the Buddha once sat for 49 days and nights, passing through every challenge to reach the light of enlightenment.

And my daughter joined Dad too… 😊

Right in the heart of the land where the Buddha's energy still resonates through every breath and moment of meditation, Indian children practice meditation together, learning to turn inward, touch the breath, and connect with the purest energy.

In every child's clear eyes, we see the eyes of a future generation of awakening…

This is more than a meditation session teaching children.

But a doorway—right at the most sacred Holy Site of Buddhism in the world—where little souls can begin their journey back to themselves.

I am grateful for the monk’s invitation, and for his thoughtfulness in taking these souvenir photos and sending them to me afterward…

Grateful to the land that has spread light to all humanity.

And grateful for every wondrous breath that has connected us with the Buddha-nature and Source-nature already present in every child.

Every child who encounters meditation is a ray of light kindled for humanity.

And meditation is one of the most beautiful gifts we can offer this world.
