Gamize Brings Sử Hộ Vương to Shark Tank

When the Gamize team brought Sử Hộ Vương onto Shark Tank, I did not know about it (my role is as their investor). Only when they told me later did I understand that they wanted to give me a little birthday surprise. The downside was that they therefore did not receive additional advice on presenting as effectively as possible.

You created that surprise. In fact, few know Gamize had to film a 2nd time, because the 1st included (then still) Shark Tam Asanzo.

In the first filming session, Sử Hộ Vương was so successful that all 4 Sharks chose to invest. They then chose to close a deal with Shark Tam to combine with his distribution system. Deal closed. Sử Hộ Vương immediately achieved a 5x Valuation, since that value was still low relative to its potential, and they joyfully announced it as a birthday gift to me.

Then, the very next day, Tuổi Trẻ newspaper published a controversial series about Asanzo.

Mr. Tam withdraws from Shark Tank.

The program had to be recorded a 2nd time.

And on this 2nd occasion, the outcome was as we learned when the program aired more than 1 month later. Shark Liên “conferred” with the other Sharks before the program. Only Shark Liên remained willing to invest. Sử Hộ Vương did not close the deal and accepted receiving no investment. It seems they were rather “unlucky” :- ) A series of further public controversies followed, splitting opinion into two camps. As with other phenomena that had appeared before, people debated at the dawn of an era of creativity and innovation alongside the preservation of traditional values. These were all opinions, with many expressed “in the name of” this or that.

Personally, I believe Sử Hộ Vương is receptive and listening carefully in order to improve.

However, I also notice that many attacks or negative comments about Sử Hộ Vương come from people who do not realize their mindset is bound and “imprisoned” by some prejudice or limiting belief acquired earlier in life that they cannot observe. Instead of having true freedom, they are “locked” in this “prison,” still believing they are right and only their view is valid, complacently assuming it must be correct!

We can enter a bookstore and see history books gathering dust. No one cares. No one buys those books.

We can also look at the image below, showing many figures from China’s Three Kingdoms period brought into games. And it has been incredibly, incredibly successful.

However, there is still much profound understanding we need to spread about history, the games industry, and creativity. I hope Sử Hộ Vương and Gamize will communicate better soon, helping the community develop more multidimensional understanding!
