A few words on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day

Entrepreneurs have many qualities with beautiful energy. Yet because of the nature of our work, we accumulate many “distortions” within ourselves that we will one day have to confront… to repair… thereby finding balance so we can continue our journey?

As entrepreneurs, perhaps we should not orient ourselves toward Shark energy. Of course, this is 1 label, 1 positioning or a product of media and game shows, but nothing in life is random. When we resonate with the “Shark,” it is because seeds within us include the negative distortions of this energy. It would be wonderful to observe ourselves, recognize them and transform them from within. All great people need to do only 1 thing exceptionally well: observe themselves.

The Shark symbol itself has both strengths and weaknesses. Its strengths include abundant life energy, vitality, enthusiasm, passion, great power, keen intuition, the ability to remain cool and clearheaded amid many changes, mastery of emotions, and the ability to react quickly and promptly…

But there are also many downsides: abusing power, misunderstanding one’s authority, a superiority complex, feeling superior and elite, imposing emotions on others, belligerence, and aggressively forcing one’s own will. This is a distortion that is ready to attack and destroy with cold-blooded instinct, ignoring ethical principles and not considering the karmic consequences for oneself and others, in pursuit of wealth and the satisfaction of untamed instinctual needs. It is also impulsive energy, pushing at any cost with an arrogant, selfish, destructive ego, applying the ‘law of the jungle’ of predatory animals, tending to put oneself above all else, focusing excessively on oneself and one’s image, power, and status, treating others as objects to use or punish, full of ambition but devoid of love or compassion…

A few words for a perhaps more ‘niche’ part of the entrepreneurial world—conscious entrepreneurs: if you meet an investor with Shark energy who calls themselves a Shark, stay away. This may help you greatly in the long run, given the path you have chosen. It is not about right or wrong, but compatibility: only when you fit together can you grow and Scale up. Choosing an investor is like marriage; you need compatible values to develop a harmonious relationship that motivates both sides to grow. Choosing the wrong investor is like destroying the company’s architecture of success from top to bottom. Choosing correctly is like having a very good partner. Perhaps the only difference is that in marriage we have just 1 wife/1 husband, while in business we can have multiple investors.

When we understand the Shark, both its positive and negative aspects, we no longer “fear” it. We feel compassion for the Shark itself, but choose not to live out the negative distortions of Shark energy. In the awareness of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day, 13.10, may we transform the energy of the “Inner Shark” within us. Wishing entrepreneurs Peace, Joy and Growth ?❤
