The World Cup final and spiritual lessons

On Messi:

Messi shows us that whoever we are born as, lessons always await us. Everything is the best scenario for the soul's evolution. The poor have their lessons, the rich theirs, a person with a disability their own, and a genius like Messi has necessary lessons too. From a boy needing constant growth-hormone injections with extraordinary talent, destiny kept “teasing” him. From nearly winning in 2014, through 5 World Cups, each with hopes of bringing home the golden Cup, to leading the 2022 final 2-0 before being pegged back to 2-2—a tremendous mental test—then leading 3-2 and being tested again at 3-3, taking the match to nerve-wracking penalties. All of this is a test of whether we truly deserve the success and complete happiness that follow. The universe, or destiny, can be harsh, but it is fair. If we keep developing precious qualities, recognizing lessons and calmly overcoming the challenges sent to us, we can fulfill our journey. That is fairness. The universe favors nobody. It creates principles we can use to evolve. Everything is always fair. Even when we think otherwise, the bigger picture explains “injustice”: when we see how the pieces connect, nothing is random and everything is fair. That is the universe's heavenly law of Divine Justice, expressed through the conditions that bore fruit in Messi's championship today.

On Argentina:

Messi was born around the time Argentina last won the World Cup. His destiny was linked to this Cup—to bring it home before retiring. Yet today's championship does not belong to Messi alone. One Lionel Messi needed another Lionel, coach Lionel Scaloni, to bring home today's title. The biggest difference was building a team around Messi without placing all the pressure and responsibility on his shoulders as before. That is knowing how to use Messi. A clear example: in today's final, Messi was not the most-fouled player; it was his “sidekick” De Paul. Every piece has its own role. Angel Di Maria, Enzo Fernandes, Emiliano Martinez, Paredes… all are like a symphony orchestra: vocals, piano, violin, viola, drums, brass… and the conductor, each with their own role. This is a team. Team Argentina. There is nothing wrong with building an entire football team around one individual, as long as everyone has their own role. Look at the sun symbol on Argentina's flag. That is their quality. If you read The Fountainhead, you will see that all greatness in life is created not by indistinct collectives but by truly great individuals. This may run counter to commonly proclaimed beliefs, but there is no contradiction. If an individual considers themselves bigger than the team, that is another story. If a truly great individual, like a hero, has many beautiful qualities, such as humility and a heart of pure love… and a team with tremendous engagement is built around that individual, that is a different story. We are One. All is One. But One is also all. Messi is all. And Messi is One. So is Argentina. A team always needs heroes, including unsung ones.

On CR7:

CR7 is an extraordinary example of determination and effort, as well as outstanding talent forged through training. The secret of CR7’s strength is a Great Ego, with the initials T, V, and Đ of the Vietnamese phrase Tôi Vĩ Đại all capitalized, bold, and very large. This Great Self helps CR7 become one of the greatest footballers of all time. Many people dislike Ronaldo’s ego, but without it, Ronaldo would no longer be Ronaldo. That is the beauty of this soul. An absolute Ego. Overwhelming everything. That is the energetic difference between CR7 and M10. How interesting that the universe lets us witness a race between the “Great Self” and “Non-Self.” By the end, we can know who is the GOAT of this whole past cycle, ending most of the debate. Through that, we also understand which qualities the universe encourages more. If your Ego is too large, only you can sit in that boat, because there is no room for anyone else. You may still bring the boat to glory. But can it go further? When another Ego, Ten Hag, arrived at Old Trafford (a coach needs such an ego to “settle” the team and dressing room), Ronaldo’s soul became deeply confused, because before another Ego, this Ego was immediately squeezed into “deflating.” That immediately affected his performance on the pitch. CR7 had to seek a psychotherapist, but the real issue lay in his style of success, built entirely around the EGO. You cannot transform your style without recognizing your lesson. The biggest difference between M10 and CR7? Perhaps it is that the entire Argentina team was ready to “live and die” to bring the championship Cup to Messi. Yet it is hard to find a Portuguese player willing to speak and act, throwing themselves in that way for CR7 (although everyone still deeply respects CR7 and considers him one of the greatest legends). That is the difference between 2 styles, between egos, and in correctly shaping a collective around an individual. Looking at these 2 figures, you can decide which path to follow, which style to develop, and which qualities to cultivate. Your choices create your fate.

On France:

In 1998, Ronaldo (R9) suffered a mysterious fever and played like a wandering ghost in the World Cup final, which Brazil lost to France. In 2018, France eliminated Argentina from the World Cup. In 2022, several French players developed fevers and returned playing ‘unlike themselves.’ Although this was not the main cause, without it Argentina might not have taken a 2-goal lead in the first half. This does not mean Messi and his teammates’ championship was undeserved. Both teams still delivered one of the greatest finals in World Cup history. In 2022, this time Argentina eliminated France on its path to defending the crown. France is a wonderful team, but the universe also operates according to the Law of Balance. That is what matters most. So the story of ‘the old man who lost his horse,’ or ‘good fortune within bad fortune’ and vice versa, illustrates the principle of Balance operating in the universe.

On Mbappe:

Tonight there were 2 potential changes of throne. One was Argentina “dethroning” France as champions. But from another angle, there was the “uncrowned king” Messi, standing tall to defend his “Iron Throne,” and opposite him, the “Prince” (not the little one) Mbappe, stepping up to challenge and ready to surpass the greatest king of all time, now in the twilight of his career. He sought to end an era and begin a new dynasty, surpassing both M10 and CR7 to become the true King of Football. Of those 2 challenges to the throne, only 1 succeeded, and we know which one. Today, the King continues to enjoy his throne, while the prince must remain patient and work harder. But we all know the prince may inherit this crown in the future. Mbappe is the kind of person who can activate the ego within you when you resonate with him, so you may not like him. But Mbappe's ego is not as large as you think. He is focused on football and has many fine qualities. The future will answer whether a new GOAT will replace them all.

For today, sleep well, Messi. The whole world welcomes a truly rightful king. Beautiful football always has a place in spectators' hearts. Thank you, M10, for your immensely beautiful qualities in football, career, family, and life.

Someday The Dream Will End.

Have a Nice Dream!
