There are crocodiles in this river.
There are risks everywhere. But if we keep weighing risks forever, we will not have interesting experiences. Mark Zuckerberg says that, in a world full of risk and change, the greatest risk is not daring to take any risk at all.
In fact, do you know the most dangerous thing you can do?
It is bathing in your own bathroom. Every year, far more people die while bathing (for many reasons, including slipping and hitting their heads on the toilet) than are killed by crocodiles.
What matters is clearly understanding what you are doing. Life is a blend of trade-offs and trade-ons. It is a painting of many colors, not merely calculations.
