When you do 1 thing that is right and truly good for everyone, you will find the whole universe beside you, supporting you.

Perhaps that is why MB Bank recently offered us another wonderful gesture of support, giving us an exceptionally short account number: 1988.

1 is the beginning, 9 is the complete fulfillment of a cycle, 8 is development, and 88 is infinite development. 1988 is boundless development like spirals: each spiral is 1 cycle with a beginning and an end, yet the whole has neither beginning nor end and develops endlessly. Like love and wisdom: infinite. This is also the meaning of service and charity, where love and wisdom must go hand in hand. Love is only true love when accompanied by wisdom, and wisdom is only true wisdom when accompanied by love.

Because of this account number’s special meaning, we would also like to use it for charitable purposes, in keeping with the original intention behind its creation, including MB’s intention. Thus, this 1988 account is donated to the Dream of Angel Feet Fund (the Companion project, supporting children with serious blood diseases) and Light Charity (the Build a School for Children project, building schools for poor children in remote areas). Both 2 organizations will share 1 account as before, with money flows clearly recorded in reports and easily reconciled with bank statements.

One wonderful thing about MB is its responsiveness: creating charitable accounts and a charity social network with excellent features that make it easy for charity workers to demonstrate their integrity, increase transparency, strengthen accountability, and involve the community in oversight to reduce mistakes to a minimum or eliminate them entirely.

So when you download the Thiện Nguyện App and search for charity account number 1988 (@taminhtuan, Tạ Minh Tuấn), you can access the full statements linked directly to bank data. Even 1 đồng in or out is automatically updated here, meaning it is more accurate than images of Photoshopped statements :- ) Of course, for many years, the Giấc mơ Đôi chân Thiên thần Fund and Light Charity have regularly published reports online for anyone interested, including statements bearing the bank's round stamp. Beyond statements, we also report payment orders to clarify where outgoing funds go. We additionally disclose beneficiaries so anyone can check and compare whether the money reaches the intended people in full. Now, with the system supported by MB account 1988, we can raise our transparency by 1 new level: every day, every hour, anyone can track changes through detailed statements without waiting until month-end or the end of a reporting period as before.

This means the community can monitor us online, directly (Live), with transparency updated hourly instead of monthly as before. This article also serves as an announcement from the Angel Feet Dream Fund and Light Charity that the fundraising account is changing from ACB 155943509 to MB 1988. This announcement is being made 1 month in advance so that supporters, sponsors and all of you, friends and interested people, can gradually receive the update. Account 1988 will then officially be used from 6.12.
