Why so many psychology professionals carry many unresolved psychological issues themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Actually, this is understandable, because as human beings, we are still imperfect. However, this article will offer an aspect that receives little attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many experts teach eloquently about emotional management, anger control, personal boundaries, and psychotherapy. Yet in life, many remain immersed in anger, bitterness, rivalry, jealousy, loneliness, anxiety, or deeply conflicting relationships. They may know the latest therapeutic models by heart yet feel helpless in their own existential crises, when betrayed, abandoned, or feeling their lives are meaningless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have encountered quite a few cases like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some therapists are excellent at analyzing trauma online, yet cannot embrace their own childhood pain. Some teach \u201canger management\u201d impeccably but often explode in anger toward loved ones, colleagues, and students. Some speak beautifully about \u201cself-compassion\u201d while living with extreme inner harshness toward themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And when you step far enough \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d of the psychology world, you may see a picture very different from its polished academic exterior. Behind the \u201civory tower\u201d of academic qualifications, many places are rather\u2026 chaotic. People refuse to recognize one another. They envy one another's achievements. They challenge one another not only on academic grounds, but through crude ego-driven motives. They form factions and schools. They exclude dissenting voices. They use academic power to suppress approaches outside the \u201corthodoxy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take Freud, a very famous figure in psychology. With sufficient practice experience and inner depth, you will see clearly: Freud spoke much about dreams, but did not truly understand dream decoding. He did not understand dreams as a communication channel between consciousness and life's deeper wisdom. He did not understand dream symbols as the soul's language. He interpreted dreams almost entirely through sexual drives and psychological repression. Thus his interpretations often do not match the Source Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I can say this from more than theory. Having personally helped interpret many dreams, witnessed the powerful transformation people undergo when they understand the true messages hidden in their dreams, and followed these cases' sustained transformation over many years, I know very clearly: dreams are not merely products of the brain. Dreams are a symbolic language of a level of consciousness far deeper than the rational mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Freud, and many psychologists afterward, did not reach that level because they lacked sufficiently deep spiritual experience. Indeed, many in psychology dispute or dismiss spirituality. They regard it as superstition, illusion, a by-product of the brain, or an escape for the weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They do not know that the founding father of modern psychology was a very\u2026 spiritual person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
William James, regarded as the father of American psychology, devoted much of his life to studying expanded states of consciousness, religious experiences, mystical experiences, and psychic phenomena. His The Varieties of Religious Experience remains a classic of spiritual studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carl Jung, Freud\u2019s student, went even further. Jung believed in the collective unconscious, archetypal symbols, guidance from dreams, and synchronicity. He joined secret occult societies and studied astrology, alchemy, the I Ching, and Eastern mythology. He even established a very\u2026 spiritual research group focused on interpreting symbols and the soul\u2019s individuation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nowadays, those things are often carefully concealed in \u2018mainstream\u2019 psychology textbooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And this is the essential point we want to make:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psychology without spirituality remains like a \u201cblind person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You may be very good at correcting behavior, adjusting perceptions, and restructuring beliefs. But you cannot touch the deepest layer of life\u2019s meaning. You do not understand why consciousness chooses that way. Why that event happened at that exact time. Why a particular pain returns again and again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conversely, spirituality without psychology lacks legitimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can easily fall into delusion, mystify the ego, \u201cbypass\u201d emotions, deny trauma, and use \u201cspiritual light\u201d to avoid the dark parts that have not been healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two should not oppose each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two were born to complement each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Psychology gives you a map of the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spirituality gives depth to your soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When those two things meet in a person who is humble enough, mindful enough and honest enough with themselves, only then is therapy truly fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
