That is also the essential nature of the Meditation Practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome and see\u201d\u2014not to believe blindly or debate theory, but to come and experience for yourself, to \u201ctaste\u201d firsthand and know directly with your whole heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can argue all your life about the concept of a \u201csour lime.\u201d But if you have never put a lime on your tongue to experience it, all your reasoning is merely wordplay. Only by tasting do you know what \u201csour\u201d means. Likewise, only by practicing meditation do you truly know what meditation is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every argument, every theory, every game of the mind\u2026 is ultimately meaningless. They are merely the ego's drama, ropes that bind us and pile suffering upon suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only the light of truth can illuminate and liberate you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Truth is always present, like the Sun that is always there. Clouds of falsehood may briefly hide its light, but can never destroy the Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth within you is the same: you do not need to search far away. It has always been there, waiting for you to recognize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation is the path of returning inward to discover that truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To swim, you must enter the water. To ride a bicycle, you must get on the saddle and practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To understand meditation, you must meditate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nobody can breathe for you. Nobody can walk for you. And nobody can meditate for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is only one way to benefit from meditation: practice it yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A path awaits you ahead\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is the path of truth. And the truth will liberate you, making you a free person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A journey of ten thousand miles always begins with one step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation is the first step on the journey of transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But before setting out, we need to put down a few heavy \u2018backpacks\u2019: attachments, illusions, and misconceptions about ourselves, meditation, and life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only then can you truly move lightly onto the path of freedom and truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
